Why You’ll Love This 2 Ingredient Oreo Mug Cake
- You only need 2 simple ingredients to make this Oreo mug cake – that’s it!
- This mug cake can be made in the microwave or oven.
- It’s ready in just 5 minutes – I think this might be the easiest and fastest dessert ever!
- You can easily make it dairy-free or vegan, perfect if you have food allergies.
Ingredients Needed

- Oreos: mix it up and use your favorite Oreo flavor! Classic Oreos are great, but I love using mint Oreos!
- Milk: you can use regular milk or dairy-free milk like soy milk, oat milk, or almond milk if you’re dairy-free or vegan.
Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Place the Oreo cookies in a mug or ramekin and break them up with a fork. We don’t need crumbs, just small chunks!

Step 2: Pour in the milk and stir until combined. It’s going to look chunky and that’s fine!
Step 3: If you want to add chocolate chips, add them in now.

Microwave Method
Step 1: Microwave the mug cake for 45-90 seconds, the cake should look slightly under-baked on top. Let cool for 5 minutes before enjoying!

Oven Method:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F and place your oven-safe ramekin in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the cake looks slightly under-baked on top. Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!

Expert Tips
- For even more chocolate flavor, add chocolate chips! If you use dark chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips, the mug cake will be a little less sweet.
- I love topping this mug cake with homemade whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
- Mix it up with different Oreo flavors throughout the year! I love using Halloween Oreos and Christmas Oreos.
- Don’t use a mug or ramekin that’s too small, otherwise it might overflow in the microwave or oven.
- Take the mug cake out of the microwave or oven when it still looks slightly under-cooked – that’s the secret to a moist mug cake!

2 Ingredient Oreo Mug Cake
Ingredients
- 6 Oreo cookies
- ¼ cup (63 ml) milk of choice, (regular or vegan)
Optional
- 2 Tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips, (regular or vegan)
Instructions
- Add the Oreo cookies to a mug or ramekin and roughly break them up with a fork. You can also chop them up beforehand, which can be less messy if your ramekin or mug is on the smaller side. The cookies don't need to be broken up into crumbs, just into small chunks.
- Pour in the milk and stir together until completely combined. It will look chunky – this is normal.
- If using chocolate chips, stir them in now.
Microwave Method
- Microwave the mug cake for 45-90 seconds ( the timing will depend on your microwave, so start at the lower number), until the mug cake looks only slightly under-cooked on the very top.
- Let cool for 5 minutes then top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired and dig in!
Oven Method
- Preheat the oven to 350℉, then place the oven safe ramekin into the oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the mug cake looks only slightly under-cooked on the very top.
- Let cool for 5 minutes then top with whipped cream or ice cream if desired and dig in!

Its good! But there was a TON of milk at the top when I finished it.
SO delish! I’ve made this a few times now, it’s perfect for my weekday dessert. I’ve also swapped out regular Oreos for peanut butter ones!
Peanut butter oreos sound perfect for this! Thanks for your review!
