These gooey Oreo rice krispie treats are a simple no bake recipe that uses just 5 ingredients. Plus, you can easily make these cookies and cream rice krispie treats dairy-free!

Equipment

  • 1 large pot
  • 1 9x9 square baking pan

Ingredients

  • 6 Tablespoons butter (regular or dairy free)
  • 7 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 16 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped or crushed (plus more for topping if desired)

Instructions

  • Line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper or grease the pan generously with butter.
  • Roughly chop or crush the Oreo cookies and set aside.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add in the mini marshmallows and stir with the melted butter until the marshmallows have melted. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Remove from heat and add in the rice krispie cereal and chopped Oreo cookies. Stir quickly until combined.
  • Pour the rice krispie mixture into your lined pan, sprinkle with more Oreo pieces/crushed Oreos if desired, and use a greased spatula or your hands to gently press the mixture down into an even layer.
  • Let the Oreo rice krispie treats firm up for 10-20 minutes then slice and enjoy!

Notes

Doubling Instructions: Double all ingredients and use a 9x13 dish.
Marshmallows: Large marshmallows can be used instead of mini ones. When stirring in the remaining 1 cup, be sure to cut or chop those marshmallows into smaller pieces first before adding them in with the rice krispies.
Oreos: Feel free to use any flavor of Oreo cookie that you'd like!
Storage Instructions: Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
