Learn how to make a flax egg for all your vegan baking needs! I use a flax egg in my baking all the time, and I promise it is so easy to make. This vegan egg substitute for baking is perfect if you or your family are plant-based or vegan. Plus, you only need two ingredients!
Combine the flax and warm water in a bowl and stir with a fork until fully combined. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes either at room temperature or in the fridge (fridge will speed things up a little).
If a layer of water forms on top of the mixture, give it another stir before using. The flax egg is ready when it's thick and goopy and has an egg-like consistency
