Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ cup milk (regular or vegan)
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream or vanilla frozen yogurt (regular or vegan)

Optional

  • whipped cream (regular or vegan)

Instructions

  • This recipe makes 2 milkshakes. If making for one, divide the ingredients in half. Add ice cream, diced banana, and milk to a blender then blend until smooth. Depending on your blender, you may need to add more milk if the milkshake seems too thick. You can also slice the banana into smaller pieces if you don't have a high powered blender.
  • Divide the milkshake between two glasses. Top with whipped cream or another scoop of ice cream if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

MILK: If the milkshake seems too thick, slowly add more milk until your desired consistency is reached.
The milkshake will be sweeter if you use sweetened vegan milk instead of unsweetened.
FROZEN OR FRESH FRUIT: Frozen banana will make the milkshake thicker, more like a smoothie consistency.
Blender: Use a high powdered blender if possible, to create a smooth consistency.
Storage: This milkshake is best enjoyed fresh!
