This simple apple crisp for one is the perfect cozy fall dessert! I love making this individual apple crisp on a chilly evening. It uses just one apple and can be made in the microwave or the oven!
If making these in the oven, preheat the oven to 350℉ (180℃).
Add chopped apple pieces to your ramekin. Add in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Toss until the apples are evenly coated.
In a medium bowl add the oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Use your hands or a fork to mix everything together until it's fully combined.
Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly on top of the apple filling.
Oven Method
Bake for 18-15 minutes. The top will be a very light golden brown.
Microwave Method
Microwave for 90 seconds or up to 2½ minutes. This will largely vary depending on the strength of your microwave, so start at the lower time and then add more time as needed. The top will look cooked.
Top the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (regular or vegan). Drizzle with caramel if desired and enjoy!
