Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2-2½ cups sliced or cubed mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (regular or vegan, I use unsweetened oat milk)
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream (regular or vegan)
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • whipped cream for topping (optional) (vegan or regular, I use coconut whipped cream)

Healthy Smoothie Version

  • 2-2½ cups sliced or cubed mango (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups milk of choice (regular or vegan)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional, add more to taste)
  • 2-3 tablespoon protein powder of choice (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)

Instructions

Mango Milkshake

  • This recipe makes 2 milkshakes. If making for one, divide the ingredients in half. Add ice cream, mango, salt, milk, and vanilla extract (if using) to a blender then blend until smooth. Depending on your blender, you may need to add more milk if the milkshake seems too thick.
  • Divide between two glasses. Top with whipped cream or another scoop of ice cream if desired, and enjoy!

Healthy Mango Smoothie

  • This recipe makes 2 smoothies. If making for one, divide the ingredients in half. Add all ingredients into a blender, then blend until smooth. Depending on your blender, you may need to add more milk if the smoothie seems too thick.

Notes

MILK: If the milkshake seems too thick, slowly add more milk until your desired consistency is reached. If you add a bit too much, you can thicken it up with more mango.
The milkshake will be sweeter if you use sweetened vegan milk instead of unsweetened.
MANGO: Add more mango depending on your taste. I like mine with lots of mango flavor, so I usually add a full 2 ½ cups.
BLENDER: Use a high powdered blender if possible, to create a smooth consistency.
Note: Calorie information provided is for the ice cream version of the milkshake.
